Art work on main street and off

The children saw their town with new eyes, as they pointed out one spray-painted marketing tool after another.
Many were hidden because all the stores were closed for the sabbath, and we were practically the only people walking, except for the angels guarding us.  Thought you'd be amused.

A shop for children's items . . .

and bebe.

Toys?

Honest!  These words are on every 6th restaurant in the country -- just not as cutely written.

?  Car supplies?  but jazzy.

No, not a theater.  A general goods store.

Computers?

glasses?

And back home.  I had done portraits of a member of every family we visited.  This is the one of the dear grandmother.  The family liked it, but she did not want to part from it.  We put it in a plastic sleeve and she hauled up her purse from beside her and tucked it in safe next to her cell phone, zipped the bag shut and patted it in satisfaction.  Her smile was warm and sincere.

We said our farewells and the four of us headed back to Oran where Mohammed could rejoin his family and we could rejoin our Mohammed and his family.
